They helped to change the atmosphere here, thanks to them, we all felt we were belonging to a family which is rare - many volunteers just want to use the accomodation and do there "job" while what we really expect is to build a nice vibe here. Janina, the Owner, is a wonderful person - she really took the time to get to know us and spent hours teaching us about the joys of gardening, something Nick, in particular, is looking forward to using when we get home. The work was varied and often really educational like getting lots of insights into permaculture and organic gardening principles or learning to cook various typical Peruvian dishes and lots of fun. The accommodation is a huge highlight - an enormous private room with an en suite, big bed, huge down duvets and big fluffy pillows.

There are even hot water bottles for the chilly mountain nights! We also have a staff kitchen which is exceptionally well equipped and stocked. Meals are another highlight - Vilma is an incredibly talented chef and you should expect to put on a lot of weight after all of the hearty three course meals!

They also cater happily to vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets so we were particularly happy!
